Kalamkari for Today and Tommorrow

Women I feel are more sensible than men, maybe it stems from the fact that they are multitasker's they can juggle a lot , our programming is tuned to work on parallel levels and its strong enough to be able to cross jump the various levels of hoops. Be it work, family or friends.

They go through life with a positivity and a smile on their face and it is exactly this smile that powers the beauty of art that takes form on a Sari in the form of Kalamkari. These women put their heart and soul into it and the colors come alive in the various stories that are painted on the canvas of a blank Sari. It is a lot of work. Sangeetha Shares with us the process.

Our culture makes us who we are it is the anchor that holds us to the ground and does not let us drift away with the winds of constant change. The core needs to be always strong the rest can transform but your soul needs to be true to its roots. A kalamakari Sari to me is a representative of that soul a representation of our history and a mirror into the collaboration of transformative art which is our future.

I love the dark blue and pink combination it brings alive the painting

A single Sari takes more than  five people to create

A canvas of beautiful colors and Design
