It has been a longtime since I have immersed my self in the world of sarees. Procrastination is the most easy thing to do in this world. What jolted me from my stillness was of course the wedding of Deepika and Ranveer. One look at the Manglorean wedding saree and you knew instantly that it was a Kanjeevaram.
The Kanjeevaram I feel does not get its due. Especially as the perfect choice for a bride. The silk is at its shiny best and the zari attractive and eye catching. Not to mention the varies hues the saree is woven in. Thou my favorite are the dark colors.
If it is a light hue especially a off white or cream you are opting for you have to be very careful in terms of the zari work on the sari which has to be heavy Gold or jewelry needs to be carefully chosen.
This is where Deepika's Banglore reception look went all wrong the heavy Emerald matte choker with round earrings were a total damper to the off white golden saree. The best bet for you if this is your choice of saree is diamonds and ruby's which add the extra sparkle at the same time keeping it classic.
Designer wear has become such a fad nowadays that we forget the charm and elegance of our traditional weaves. Most of the time the designer sarees are a tweak to existing weaves.
The red and golden saree which everyone thought was a Sabyasachi turned out to be a local Banglorean brand called Angadi. The saree was tweaked a little by the designer by adding the dupatta.

The Green is a classic Bride color and looks good on any complexion

Yes, as I sarees lover I like to experiments with saree outfits and try other sarees patterns and designs. I found nice information about the kanjeevaram sarees but honestly I never thought of to wear it in a wedding function. Wedding season was started in India, I have lot of cousins and siblings it is challenging to shop single piece saree wholesale.
